We read the public terms of 22 offshore casinos open to Canadian players. As of October 16, 2026, only 2 prove a deposit amount in Canadian dollars: Oshi (account minimum C$15) and WildTornado (C$30 qualifies for its bonus). The other 20 show their minimum only in the cashier after sign-up. Ontario residents cannot use these sites.

Verified minimum deposits
Only these casinos put a deposit amount in Canadian dollars in writing. An account minimum is the smallest deposit the casino accepts; a qualifying deposit is the smallest that unlocks the welcome offer, which proves the cashier takes at least that amount but is not an account minimum.
20 casinos do not publish a deposit amount in Canadian dollars anywhere we could read without an account. That matters because you only see the real minimum, per payment method, after you have registered and handed over your details; if you plan a small first deposit, open the cashier and check your method before you verify the account or pay.
Winlion: the bonus terms give a "$" amount without naming Canadian dollars, so we do not count it as CAD proof.
All casinos, compared on what they do publish
Instead of a minimum-deposit column that would be empty for most rows, this table shows what each casino does put in writing: the deposit methods on its site and the cash-out rules in its terms. Sorted by proven deposit amount, then by how many clauses we could quote, then by the date of the check.

Deposit methods are those whose logos the official site shows; a logo does not confirm limits or payouts. Amounts in euros or US dollars are shown as written and are never converted. Lanista is our featured partner and shows its minimum and methods only after sign-up, so it carries no figure in deposit rankings. Nothing here is a score or a recommendation, and we never claim to have deposited or played.
Two minimums: cashier vs bonus
"Minimum deposit" is used for two different limits, and mixing them up is the most common way a small deposit goes wrong.
Cashier minimum
The smallest payment the cashier accepts for a given method. It belongs to the payment method and the account currency, not to any offer. A deposit at this amount puts real money in your balance and nothing else.
Bonus minimum
The smallest deposit that triggers a welcome offer or reload. It is written in the bonus terms and can be higher than the cashier minimum. Pay less and the deposit still goes through, but no bonus is added.
Very few casinos write the cashier minimum into their terms. Here is how the ones that address it word it:
The minimum deposit amount will vary depending on the player's jurisdiction and chosen payment method.
The minimum amount to get any kind of deposit bonus is $30 or the currency equivalent, unless otherwise stated in the bonus terms and conditions for a specific promotion.
Where participation in a Bonus Campaign or eligibility for a Bonus requires a deposit, the Minimum Qualifying Deposit shall, by default, be equal to the lowest fiat deposit amount available to the User on their Account at the time the deposit is made, unless a higher minimum deposit is expressly stated in the Specific Campaign Terms.
The minimum amount to get any kind of deposit bonus is $30 or the currency equivalent, unless otherwise stated in the bonus terms and conditions for a specific promotion.
Two practical consequences follow. First, if you only want to try a casino with a small amount, you can usually skip the bonus: you keep the deposit free of bonus wagering and maximum-bet rules. Second, if you do want the offer, the number that matters is the bonus minimum, which is shown in the offer's own terms or in the cashier when you select it, not the lowest figure the cashier accepts.
In our table the two never share a column. When a casino states only one of them, the other cell says "Not stated" rather than borrowing the figure.
Payment methods for a small deposit
The method you pick decides the real minimum more than the casino does, because each provider has its own lowest transaction and its own fees. These are the methods we found on at least two of the casinos we checked, with a page for each:
The number is how many casinos list the method in a payment table we could quote or show its logo on the official site. All method pages: payment methods.
A few general points hold for every casino in the table:
Interac e-Transfer moves money straight from a Canadian bank account and is the method most Canadians already use. Casinos that show it are listed on the Interac page.
E-wallets such as Skrill, Neteller, MuchBetter and ecoPayz sit between your bank and the casino. They are handy for small amounts because the wallet balance can be topped up once and spent in pieces, but the wallet provider may charge for loading or currency conversion.
Prepaid vouchers such as Paysafecard are bought for a fixed value and are deposit-only in most cashiers. They cap what you can spend, which suits a strict budget, but you will need a different method to withdraw.
Visa and Mastercard are accepted by many cashiers for deposits, but card issuers can decline gambling transactions, and a card that works for deposits does not always work for withdrawals.
Whatever the method, the withdrawal usually has to go back the way the money came in where that method supports payouts. That is worth deciding before the first deposit, not after a win.
Withdrawing from a small deposit
A small deposit is easy to make and harder to cash out. Three rules in the terms we read decide whether it can come back out: how many times the deposit must be played through, the minimum withdrawal, and limits or thresholds measured over a week or a month.
Deposit turnover before a cash-out
Most terms ask that a deposit is wagered at least once, and some ask for three times, before a withdrawal is processed without a charge. This is separate from bonus wagering and applies even when you take no bonus.
Funds cannot be withdrawn from a user's account unless those same funds have been wagered at least once.
Please note that if You requested a withdrawal, but the sum of bets made since last deposit is less than three (3) times the size of that deposit, We reserve the right to charge You the costs of transaction processing for deposit and withdrawals.
There are no withdrawal commissions if you roll over (wager) the deposit at least 1 time. Otherwise we are entitled to deduct a 8% fee with minimum sum of 4 euro (or equivalent in your account currency) in order to combat money laundering.

If the minimum withdrawal is higher than your deposit, a small deposit cannot be cashed out until the balance grows past it. The figures below are written as in the original; a euro amount is not a Canadian dollar amount.

€100
The minimal amount for withdrawal is €100 or an equivalent.
Requests for withdrawal are subject to minimum sums and currency limitations, presently being: 5 EUR, 2 USD, 1700 KZT, 25 UAH and 100 RUB for all other methods.
The minimum withdrawal amount per transaction is € 10 (or equivalent in other currency) with the exception of an account closure in which case you may withdraw the full balance.
The other casinos in our set do not state a minimum withdrawal in the documents we read.
Monthly wagering thresholds
Some terms add a threshold measured over the calendar month. With a small balance this can matter more than the deposit itself:
We reserve the right to decline withdrawal requests if your account has not met the minimum monthly wagering threshold of 30 CAD within the same calendar month as your request.
Upper limits rarely matter for a small deposit, but they are worth knowing if a small balance turns into a large one. These clauses name Canadian dollars directly:
The maximum withdrawal amount from the gaming account per transaction is 15,000 CAD / 10,000 EUR / 10,000 USD / 15,000 AUD or equivalent in other currencies at the EUR exchange rate and other cryptocurrencies at the EUR exchange rate.
For players with total deposits of 0 - 1,000 EUR (or equivalent in other currencies): up to 1,500 CAD / 1,000 EUR / 1,000 USD / 1,500 AUD per day,3,750 CAD / 2,500 EUR / 2,500 USD / 3,750 AUD per week, and 15,000 CAD / 10,000 EUR / 10,000 USD / 15,000 AUD per month or equivalent in other currencies.
Weekly (rolling 7-day): €16 000, $16 000 USD, 16 000 CAD/AUD/NZD (or equivalent in another currency), calculated over the previous 7 days from the time of the withdrawal request, including the current day.
Every item below can be checked in a few minutes on the casino's own pages, before money leaves your account. The casino pages on this site collect the relevant clauses in one place.
Account currency. Check that the account can be held in Canadian dollars. Many clauses in our set are written in euros; a deposit converted twice (in and out) loses value on both legs.
Method minimum. Open the cashier and select the method you plan to use. The minimum shown there is the one that applies, whatever an advert said.
Bonus or no bonus. If the welcome offer has a higher qualifying deposit or wagering you do not want, decline it before paying. Removing a bonus later can void winnings.
Turnover rule. Find the clause on playing the deposit through before a cash-out, and the fee if you do not.
Minimum withdrawal. Compare it with what you plan to deposit. If it is higher, the deposit cannot come back out on its own.
Verification. All 22 casinos with KYC clauses in our set can ask for identity documents before paying out. Having them ready avoids a pending withdrawal.
Limits. Set a deposit limit in the account settings on day one. A low minimum makes small repeat deposits easy, and they add up.
None of this needs a large deposit to check, and none of it is visible from a headline figure. That is the reason the table on this page shows the rules next to each other instead of a single "minimum deposit" number.
Ontario and the other provinces
Ontario: Ontario has its own regulated online gambling market, run through iGaming Ontario. Offshore casinos, including every casino on this site, are not available to Ontario residents. If you live in Ontario, use an operator registered for the Ontario market.
Other provinces: outside Ontario, each province's lottery corporation runs the provincially licensed online casino, for example PlayNow in British Columbia, Manitoba and Saskatchewan, PlayAlberta, Loto-Québec's online casino, and Atlantic Lottery in the Atlantic provinces. The offshore casinos in our table operate under licences issued abroad. In the footers we read, 8 casinos print an Anjouan licence number, 2 a Curaçao one and 1 a Malta one; 11 print no licence number we could capture. Each casino page quotes the footer text.
Age: the legal age is 19 in most provinces and 18 in Alberta, Manitoba and Quebec. The casinos' own terms may set their own minimum age as well.
How we check
We read each casino's official site, its terms and conditions, bonus terms and payment pages, and copy the clauses that matter word for word, with a link to the document and its section number where there is one. We do not deposit, play or withdraw, and we never present a figure as a result of our own play. Each check is dated, the table above shows the date, and a casino whose minimum is not backed by a quote is shown as "Not stated in public T&C" rather than estimated. The full method is on how we check.
Frequently asked questions
What online casino has the lowest minimum deposit?
Of the 22 casinos we checked on October 16, 2026, the lowest deposit proven in Canadian dollars is C$15 at Oshi, its account minimum. Only 2 of the 22 publish such a figure; see verified minimum deposits. The rest show the minimum only in the cashier after sign-up.
Is there a casino with no minimum deposit?
In practice, no. Every cashier has a lowest amount it will accept for each payment method, even when a site does not print it in its terms. Some terms say this outright: one casino in our set writes that the minimum "will vary depending on the player's jurisdiction and chosen payment method", and another reserves the right to define the minimum "at its discretion". "No minimum deposit" in an advert usually means a low minimum or a no-deposit bonus, which is a different thing.
What casino has a $5 minimum deposit?
As of October 16, 2026, fewer than two casinos in our set prove in their public documents that a C$5 deposit is accepted, so we do not publish a $5 list. A casino may still accept C$5 in its cashier; you will only see that after registering. We re-check every month and the list appears as soon as two casinos publish the figure.
Is there a $1 deposit casino in Canada for real money?
We could not find one that proves it. No casino in our set proves a C$1 deposit in Canadian dollars in its public documents as of October 16, 2026. Pages that promise "$1 casinos" often mean a C$1 offer of free spins, which still has its own deposit rules. If a casino tells you C$1 is accepted, check the payment method: card and e-wallet providers set their own lowest amounts.
What is a low deposit casino?
A casino whose cashier accepts a small first payment, usually with the same games as a full-size account. The deposit is the only thing that is low: wagering on bonuses, maximum bets and minimum withdrawals stay the same. That is why we show those rules next to each casino rather than the deposit alone.
Can I get a bonus with a minimum deposit?
Often not at the cashier minimum. Welcome offers usually have their own qualifying deposit, which can be higher than the cashier accepts. Terms in our set describe this as an "associated deposit" of a "defined minimum amount". If the bonus minimum is higher than you want to pay, you can usually deposit without the bonus and avoid its wagering rules altogether.
Can I withdraw if I only deposited a small amount?
Yes, but read two rules first. Most casinos we checked expect the deposit to be played through at least once (some say three times) before a cash-out, or they may charge a fee or refuse it. Many also set a minimum withdrawal that can be higher than your deposit. Both are in withdrawing from a small deposit.
Are minimum deposit casinos legal in Canada?
Ontario runs its own regulated market through iGaming Ontario, and offshore casinos like the ones on this site are not available to Ontario residents. In the other provinces the provincially run sites are the licensed option; offshore casinos operate under foreign licences. See Ontario and the other provinces.
Which payment method is best for a small deposit?
The one with the lowest minimum in your cashier and no provider fee for you. E-wallets and prepaid vouchers are common choices for small amounts; Interac e-Transfer is the most familiar to Canadians. Which methods each casino shows is listed on the method pages: Interac, Paysafecard, Skrill, Neteller, MuchBetter, ecoPayz, Visa, Mastercard.
Why does the cashier show a different minimum than the bonus terms?
Because they are two separate limits. The cashier minimum is the smallest payment the payment method accepts; the bonus minimum is the smallest deposit that triggers an offer. A deposit can be valid for the cashier and still not qualify for the bonus. Our table keeps the two in separate columns.
