Choosing a method for a small deposit
The method decides the real minimum deposit more than the casino does. Each provider has a lowest transaction it will process and its own fees, and the casino cashier simply enforces them. That is why the same casino can accept a small amount by one method and refuse it by another.
Bank-based
Interac. Money moves from your Canadian bank account, approved in your own online banking. No wallet to load first, and the bank account is usually also where withdrawals go. Your bank's own limits and its policy on gambling transactions apply.
E-wallets
Skrill, Neteller, MuchBetter, ecoPayz. You load a balance once and pay the casino from it in small amounts. Payouts usually return to the same wallet. Wallet providers charge for some transactions and currency conversion, and some bonus terms exclude e-wallet deposits.
Prepaid vouchers
Paysafecard. Bought for a fixed amount, so you cannot overspend. Deposit-only in most cashiers: plan a second method in your name for withdrawals.
Cards
Visa, Mastercard. Accepted for deposits by most cashiers, but card issuers can decline gambling transactions, and card payouts are less common than card deposits.
Rules that apply whatever the method
- Same name. The payment account, card or wallet must belong to the casino account holder. Payments from someone else's account can block withdrawals.
- Same route back. Withdrawals usually return to the deposit method where it supports payouts.
- Turnover before cash-out. Most casinos we checked expect a deposit to be played through at least once before a withdrawal; see withdrawing from a small deposit.
- Verification. Identity checks come before the first payout, whichever method you used.
- Ontario. None of the casinos on this site is available to Ontario residents.

Frequently asked questions
What payment methods do online casinos in Canada accept?
Among the casinos we checked: Visa (19), Mastercard (17), Interac (13), Skrill (6), Paysafecard (5), Neteller (5), MuchBetter (3), ecoPayz (2). The number is how many casinos list each method. Crypto options also appear on several sites but are not covered here.
Which payment method is best for a small deposit?
The one with the lowest minimum in the cashier and no provider fee for you. Prepaid vouchers cap your spend; e-wallets let you load once and pay in small amounts; Interac moves money straight from a Canadian bank.
Can I withdraw with the same method I deposited with?
Casinos usually pay back to the deposit method where it supports payouts. Vouchers and some cards do not, so the casino will ask for another method in your name, usually a bank transfer or e-wallet.
Why does a casino show a payment logo but not the limits?
Most casinos show payment logos on public pages but publish minimums, maximums and processing times only in the cashier after sign-up. On this site that is marked "Not published before sign-up".
